Rent tjalk Boppelans?

When you hire this tjalk, you sail on one of the first iron tjalks built in Friesland. Of course, the tjalk was rebuilt and equipped with all comforts and conveniences for a longer stay on board. The ship is equipped with 11 fixed berths under the foredeck and 4 berths on the benches in the deckhouse. There are 2 separate sleeping cabins, each with a double bed.

The spacious seating area, kitchen and large cockpit make it an ideal ship for larger parties. Besides the Boppelans, we have another 4 tjalks equipped for 13 or 14 people.

If you want to book a sailing holiday with your family, or perhaps another family with young children, the Boppelans is also a lovely spacious boat. Children have plenty of room to play on this tjalk. Is the Boppelans too big for one family? Then we would like to refer you to our Lemsteraken.

Equipment of the flat-bottomed boats

Sailing licence

If you want to charter a tjalk longer than 15m, a sailing licence is required in the Netherlands. It is also possible to take a skipper with you on your sailing holiday in Friesland.
